final blog..yihaaaaaaaa!

Finally, here the last blog for this semester. Fuh! I am glad that I can get through all the assignments given, even though it may take some times to finish it. When first time our lecturer, Mr. Gerald told us that we have to write a blog for our assignment, I am happy and relief because I have my own personal blog, so I think it should be no problem at all for me. I love blogging very much. And I am so confident that I can do the task easily and I have my own specific goal, which means that i must do this assignment not just 'do my best' but i want to do the best i can.Besides, I like to read others blog too. Even though I do not know the writer personally, I felt like I have known them so long because of their blogs. I have some blogs that I read often and become addicted to their blogs. If I don’t have chance to read theirs in one day, I felt like something is not complete. Seriously! One of my favorite blog is this.


But when he gave us the first task, I was like, “owhh oooh; it’s not that easy ok.” I have to relate all the theories in this subject with my experiences. It’s not the same as my own personal blog which I just have to upload photos, wrote about my daily activities, share my happiness, sadness, excitement and it is more to what we call as ‘online diary’. This is slightly different.

So I have to try very hard to finish up my very first blog for this subject. Yup! It worth it because before this, all my assignments I just copy and paste and never go trough all the theories and then just print it out without knowing what I had done. But for this assignment, I have to read carefully and I also have to understand each and every word that I’d copy or write. This is because after that I have to do the reflection part which I cannot do if I don’t really understand the meaning. Therefore, I think blogging as form of assignment is quite good and interesting and also makes me learn something, at least. Ahaks.. ;p

Besides, I am comfortable doing this kind of assignment because this is an individual assignment and I don’t have to attend meetings and discussions every week. In addition, it kind of saving because it is paperless and I have to submit it online. It can save my time, which mean I can submit this assignment anytime and anywhere I can. I also can start doing my assignment anytime I want. I don’t have to follow anybody else’s schedule. Ahaaaa this means that I am individualism kind of person, isn’t it?

Doing this kind of assignment is quite challenging also. Why I said so? This is because blogging as a form of assignment means that we can see others blog. This give me some sort of pressure because if I see my classmates have finish their task and mine is not ready, I felt left out and I have to say to myself, ‘hey, I must finish up my blog as quick as possible’. I must apply the self-reinforcement theory to make sure that I done my task on the time or at least it must have been done. Normally if I am doing my assignment, I will not going anywhere, for example if my housemates ask me to join them hangout, I said to myself, as long as I did not finish my task, I cannot join them. So, this will motivate me to do the task early.

In my opinion, the reflection part is the most difficult part for this assignment. This is because I have to relate myself with the theories given. I have to really understand the theory before I can relate it to my experiences. The other assignment that I have done before never needed neither the reflection nor my experiences. But, I do agree with this kind of format because it makes me more understand and learn something. I have no regret in doing this kind of assignment. ;p

Furthermore, by doing the reflection, we can apply the knowledge-sharing, which is important in knowledge management. We can share others experience and thought using the blogging world. Everybody is welcome to give their own opinion and share their experience and the 360 degree feedback is applied. This is one of the benefits using blogging as a form of assignment.

By doing this kind of assignment, it does improve my relationships with my peers. This is because some of my friends are not familiar with the blogging world. This makes them asked me and my other peer who own a blog on how to do the blog, how to register a blog, how to upload a video, how to put a hyperlink, and this makes us closer, I think. ;p

I do hope that this kind of assignment will be more exposed in the future. It really helps me to improve my understanding in studies, especially this subject. Bravo to my lecturer who came out with this idea(clap2). ^_*
